Top Spin Tennis have two exciting opportunities for new team members to work in their Pro-Shops on a part time basis as a Stringer & Sales Assistant (Guru).

Top Spin Tennis is East Anglia’s Largest Racket Sports Specialists with a number of Pro-Shops in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk. We specialise in the supply of tennis, badminton, and squash goods and services. We pride ourselves on our excellent reputation which is based on superior customer service. The team work closely together in our extended network and everyone is encouraged to contribute to the development of the business.

Brief Job Specification

• Servicing rackets – stringing, re-gripping, replacing bumpers
• Retail sales – advising customers on suitable products
• Taking payments
• Answering the phone and taking customer orders
• Completing supportive administration
• Deliver on TST’s values – Integrity, Passion, Quality, Flexibility
• Ensure shops look neat, tidy and welcoming for customers.

Person Specification

• Have an interest in at least one racket sport
• Be friendly and easy to get on with, and be confident dealing with customers
• Have a desire to work and contribute to a team and the business
• Be a great team player – we all support each other
• Be flexible with working hours and locations
• Have a good telephone manner & be computer literate
• Be organised, methodical, and have meticulous attention to detail
• Be keen to learn about racket sports, the latest products, and services we offer
• Interested in learning to string at the highest level – you will need to have a practical nature
• Must be able to work unsupervised after suitable training
• Handle a fast paced environment

• Employment Conditions

  Hours – c.20 hours per week, with some weekend work required. The hourly rate will be according to age. We offer a workplace pension scheme.

  Location - Either Cambridge Lawn Tennis Club, or Hills Rd Tennis Centre with one position being required to travel to Culford School once per week (mileage paid), therefore a vehicle will be required for one of the posts. Full ‘on-the-job’ training will be provided.
